Restaurants near In the middle of Downtown

This was my second time at Handshake. Just as great as the first time! Came with a party of four and though we had to wait 5-10 minutes despite having a reservation (it was totally packed with people waiting outside who didn't have reservations), it was well worth the wait! All of the drinks were outstanding and truly so unique. The rest of my party, who all experienced Handshake for the first time on this outing, said it was unlike any bar they've ever been to! Awesome experience from start to finish and I will recommend Handshake to anyone visiting CDMX.

We had a great experience! The service was fantastic, everyone was very attentive. And we were very lucky to get a seat by the window so we had an incredible view of the city at sunset. It didn’t feel like we had to wait for the food and when it came, it was all beautifully plated and spectacular looking. We loved the soup dumplings and the bone marrow rice was incredibly scrumptious.

Everything about this restaurant is 5 stars. The food was amazing!!! The only thing that dropped it down to 4 was that a member of our party ordered a glass of wine. He really liked it and wanted only one more glass. The waiter told him that the wine was no longer available by the glass and he had to order a whole bottle, and, in fact, no more red was available by the glass. Very strange. However, I would highly recommend.

One off the bucket list!!!! If you love mariachis its folklore and history this is a must! Drinks were cold…service was outstanding…mariachis were phenomenal, its not everyday you get to experience history where the Mexican greats did it (Jose Alfredo, Cornelio Reyna). Despite some of the stigma my family felt safe…everything checked out in terms of my bill, no overcharges! I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time….I I had the mariachi play 10 songs for 1500 pesos = $75 dollars approx! Best $75 dollars Ive spent in a long time! Experience of a lifetime!

Lovely historic space. Wide variety on menu. Interesting cocktails and good beer list. Pistachio cream soup is outstanding. Goat dish was superb.
