- CCharlesVIPPhoenix / Arizona •6 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoGreat experience — from the warmth and slight aroma of real fires, the craft cocktails to the homemade dishes! Was in town for the holidays and took my parents (who live about 45 mins away) out to dinner as a thank you for hosting the holidays. None of us had been to The Tavern and we all enjoyed the experience. Among the 4 of us we had the Osso Bucco, scallops, 8 oz filet and the prime rib and we all enjoyed!More infoThe Tavern RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• State College•4.6

- MmarianGreater Boston •5 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 14, 2024The food was excellent, especially the salad that we shared. They even brought out two plates for us to serve ourselves from. It was an unusual combination of spring mix with cooked butternut squash, Brussels sprouts, dried cranberries, and croutons, with a delicate vinaigrette. The shrimp with pasta and Mediterranean salmon entrees were both very good. We tried two of their specialty bourbon cocktails, and enjoyed both of them. We satin a cozy corner couch-style table, which was comfortable and more intimate. We ate at 6:00, and there were only a few tables occupied. I hope that they have more customers later in the evening. It seems to be a hidden treasure. You should try it!More infoMercato Mio - State CollegePrice: Moderate• Italian• State College•3.9
