- NNicolevipSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI rarely take the time to write reviews but this one really deserves it. We hail from San Francisco so we weren't expecting much from an Italian restaurant in Austin. We were blown away. We ordered the snapper and special pasta (chicken filled ravioli.) The snapper was cooked on their plancha and retained it's moistness. The pasta is on the top five list of pastas I have ever had in my life. I think they must have used smoked chicken from their wood burning grill. We weren't in the mood for beef, but wish we were as everything that was coming off that grill looked over the top good. We were fortunate enough to be sat at the kitchen counter (or they accidentally gave away our table for 2 and had to seat us there) so we had a front row seat to the magic that was coming out of the kitchen. This is kind of a nerdy comment, but the expediter gets an A+. They had a very large party upstairs (like 8 family style dishes at a time) and some how he was able to get all the other food out in a timely manner.More infoRed Ash ItaliaPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.9
- EEmaleeAustin •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe have been waiting to try Este for a bit of time. We made reservations for a birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. The wonderful experience of food, ambiance, and flavors were elevated by the exceptional service from our waiter, Luke. He made us feel like we were his only patrons in the restaurant, although I knew we weren’t. He was personal, helpful with recommendations, and made my husband’s birthday dinner memorable and special. We recommend this new Austin gem to all!More infoEstePrice: Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• East Austin•4.8

Crab cake/shrimp and grits were so flavorful and excellent. Service was just right-always on time. Chocolate peppermint ice cream was outrageous!
