Restaurants near Harlan Spring Historic District

It was a perfect reservation. We loved the special area we were seated in to celebrate our anniversary with another couple. The service was amazing as always, the food was fantastic. Tuskies never fails as an experience and great option to bring our friends who visit the area. Thank you for the small touches that enhanced our evening.

In speaking with our waiter I realized I’ve been delighted by dining at Ches Francois for 40 years. We arrived at 6:00 pm and shortly after being seated my wife and I were greeted by the owner, Chez Jacque. I congratulated Jacque in celebrating the Haeringer family’s 70th year owning and operating Chez Francois. (there was a large stand alone plaque at the entrance announcing the 70 years) Jacque’s comment when I congratulated him was, “yes two generations of crazy restaurateurs”. I could not argue with him. Only absolute dedication, commitment and tireless energy produces the wonderfully amazing results this family has delivered decade after decade. Every bite of food I’ve ever eaten at Chez Francois has been a culinary delight. Every meal I’ve had (I estimate in the neighborhood of 150 meals) have been absolutely enjoyable. We celebrated my husband’s birthday with 2 other couples. The service was slow, the atmosphere was good, and the food was good. One of the burgers came almost rare when it was ordered medium well., and the food was warm but not hot. There was a mixup with the checks as well. Not sure if this was because we were a larger party or not. All this being said we will definitely go back as a couple!

The restaurant and service was outstanding! Food excellent as always.

Meals came out 5 minutes after getting appetizer and soups, despite making a point of asking the waiter when we ordered to hold putting the entree order in until done with apps . But food was good, as always.
