Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. The drinks are very good but a bit on the pricier side for the amount that you are served. The food is amazing and we tried the Chinese broccoli, won tons, pork with noodles and pork with rice. All the dishes were savory. The best part is the kitchen will cater to your culinary needs. My wife is allergic to cilantro so they took special care to keep it out of the dishes we ordered. Excellent job. The waitstaff were friendly and quick. We will definitely make the trip from SW Portland back to Oma’s. Parking is a bit rough on a Saturday night so either take Uber or give yourself plenty of time to find a spot in a crowded neighborhood.

Our party had the "Rice Plate ", which was a variety of dishes served family style. It was a fantastic way to try numerous dishes including ones we wouldn't normally order. Service was great. We had several different people service our table but it was seamless . Delicious food ! They served had several sauces with different levels of spice you could add to your food. None of the food was spicy on its own. Flavorful though!!
