At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden. Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. Relax in our modern, airy restaurant and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. Our signature dish is our crab doughnut, you'll be amazed!

It’s simple really, our calling card is sustainable Scottish seafood. Our name comes from the Gaelic word for fish. It’s a wee bit tricky to pronounce, but it’s no bother if guests don’t get it quite right. With delicious fresh produce served by our very own Head Chef, Sean Currie, you'll feel the energy in the way we go about things – our warm welcome, enthusiasm for what we do, and, of course, a splash of Glaswegian banter.Serving sustainable Scottish seafood is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why £1 on every bill goes to The Firth Forth Lobster Hatchery, who hatch, rear and release lobsters to ensure stocks remain plentiful for future generations. Visiting from London for Christmas it was top of our list to try. And let me tell you, first visit to Bucks Bar did not disappoint. Food was fantastic. The chicken wings just fell off the bone. Best we have ever tasted! Service was superb and atmosphere was just perfect! Recommend everyone gets along to BB. You will not be disappointed!

This was my first time at Kelp. We had a reservation and were running a bit late so I phoned the restaurant and they helped us find a more suitable time. Once we arrived, the waiter was very attentive and cheery. We ordered from the market menu and it did not disappoint! I loved the evening and will definitely be back!

I've eaten at Ardnamurchan before and it was just lovely. Glad to go back again. It's a bit of a treat as I'm on a limited budget, but it was well worth it. As a vegetarian, there were some dishes I'd never tried, which is always a treat. For starter I had wild mushroom parfait which was as smooth and tasty as anything. I then had roasted celeriac with chestnuts and it was simply divine. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and very friendly and really efficient. Can't recommend Ardnamurchan highly enough.
