In 1835, the Bofarull family founded one of the most charismatic restaurants in the city, Can Bofarull, in the most emblematic part of the Gothic District, near Las Ramblas in Barcelona. Over time, the restaurant was renamed in honour of one of its most famous dishes, Los Caracoles (Snails). We had a fantastic experience! The food was expertly prepared, the prices were very affordable, and the atmosphere was delightful. For all these reasons, we will definitely be returning. Additionally, they offer a great selection of drinks and serve breakfast, which is a nice bonus!

We saw the Paella on a list for best in the city and it absolutely stood up to the hype. If you’re in the Gothic Quarter, this spot is an easy 5 minute walk from the main attractions and it has a great mix between upscale and relaxed ambiance. The paella is incredible and the service is personable. The drinks are authentic and overall we’re relieved we went to this place for paella before leaving Barcelona. Definitely recommend, and I don’t even leave reviews like that
