- EEricVirginia •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe celebrated our anniversary dinner here as a recommendation from my friend at work. The place was beautiful especially this time of year. Our server is Simon & he was outstanding. We were provided with a complimentary toast in addition to their small bites of appetizer & bread with butter. We ordered additional cocktails which were both refreshing. The Texas short ribs were delicious. I had the chicken cordon blue & my significant other had the lamb rack. Both taste really good. Finally we had the fudge brownie with peppermint ice cream which I think was really festive. They gave us ginger bread cookies which is a really nice touch of the restaurant. Our overall dinner experience was great.More infoThe Ivy Inn RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Charlottesville•4.9
- JJaneVIPNew York City •85 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoThis was a 4 course wine paired dinner, with a variety of flavors and exquisite pairing with the wines. The service was impeccable, as was the atmosphere. (except for one loud person who could be heard throughout the meal). The setting was a closed in porch that was made cozy warm on a cold evening. Turkey confit with pecan-prune was phenomenal! Especially with the Cabernet Franc. The second course, groundnut sweet potato soup also extremely pleasing to the palate with the pickled peppers in it. The beef tenderloin, which I guess was to be served rare, was just about raw inside, so I had to send it back. It was fine after that and I found the apple coder bordelaise to be a bit salty. The chef came to greet us and I gave him my critique of the meal. Overall, a wonderful foodie experience. Good wine, good food, good atmosphere and relaxation. A definite point of return.More infoThe Farmhouse at VeritasPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Charlottesville•4.9
