    If you want an epic experience in dining, Derrick's is it! From the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be a special night. Every bite we had was better than the one before it.     Last night, my wife and I went and we had the risotto appetizer, which was one of the best risotto recipes I’ve had in a restaurant. Beautifully, elegant, tasty and very savory. The lamb was very good and service was at its usual excellent level.

    We love Home Block. The ambience is perfect, the staff are always very attentive - we had Stephanie who was so knowledgeable and engaging. We had the calamari and burrata to start… as usual, did not disappoint. I had the branzino which was underwhelming - no flavour whatsoever. My husband and son at the Bavette (steak). It was going to be served medium rare but my husband asked for medium. Our son enjoyed his ‘as is’ but it was too rare from a texture standpoint. But that’s us. We had the desserts to go but did share the chocolate mousse which was divine. Will definitely be back!
