Alicante in Mendon ma, gets 5 Stars for every reason an upscale restaurant should. Without the upscale prices. Located next to a lake. Get a window seat, watch the moon rise while you sip on a cocktail. Sit at the bar and meet great folks. I once was a touring musician and dined at some of New Englands finest restaurants. Boston, Providence, etc. Providence being my Favs. Alicante is right there with them. It’s a gold mine. So in a few words, Atmosphere, Service, Cuisine, the view, and parking. Surprise your date, and make a reservation to Alicante. You’ll thank me later.

The food and service were outstanding. The only complaint was the noise level in the room we were in. It was so loud, it made it very difficult to have a conversation.

Everything was terrific - service was efficient, humorous and prompt - food was fresh and innovative - can't say enough good things!

The food was generally outstanding. We had bourbon steak tips and Gorgonzola steak tips and both were delicious. The nachos, which came out much too close to the main dishes, were lacking enough toppings for the chips. We left half. Service was friendly if a tad slow. And with the live music - which was very good - it was very noisy in there, making it hard to chat. Overall, though, we enjoyed and will return.
