It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well.     This was our second time here. We returned because the service the first time was outstanding and we also enjoyed the food. This visit didn’t disappoint. I took the recommendation of our server, Gabe, for the Chilean Sea Bass. It was perfectly prepared and came with a sauce that was so good I wanted something to sop up the last bits with. I praised it so highly that the Chef came out to say hello. Grill 620 is one of our favorites.

    Always enjoy dinner at The County Cork! The Valentine's Day special menu had several great items; I thoroughly enjoyed the Smoked Beef Spare Ribs entree. My Gin Martini was crisp and dry, just about right; Creme Brulé for desert with delicious caramelized sugar crunchy top! Highly recommend to folks in and around Sykesville/Eldersburg, or anyone visiting from out of town!

    We really enjoyed our experience at Linwoods. The food and the service were outstanding. We went for Valentine’s Day and the atmosphere was fantastic!! The restaurant was crowded but they handled it real well and made our night very special 😊

    We had an excellent dinner! Split an order of Brussels sprouts with the liquid feta and they were delish. I ordered the Bohemian Raspberry drink that was so delicious and made me wish I wasn’t driving because I definitely would’ve had another! My dinner was the scallops deluxe and it was delicious. The heath bread pudding ended our meal on a sweet note! Great place and wonderful service. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t great! Worth a visit!
