Don’s Favorite Foods is a prix-fixe restaurant created by husband and wife team Chef Don Salamone and Kate Laurents in partnership with Sommelier Adam Galbraith. We also offer cocktails courtesy of Jeffrey Morgenthaler and Benjamin "Banjo" Amberg.Our Italian and French-influenced menu changes monthly and highlights dishes Don grew up with as well as those he mastered though his experiences working at Michelin-starred restaurants all over the country.From Don: At Don’s, you may find gnocchi like my Ma used to make or Italian sausage modeled after my Godfather’s, Oreste “Ernie” Capone. You might also find scallops still in their shells, Oregon pork in the style of Braciole, and popovers I learned to make from my mother-in-law, Terry, because the Laurents family makes those every Christmas morning... beef tartare, sea urchin, caviar, etc too.     There were six of us for our annual family Pre-Christmas dinner. We do this every year at a different restaurant, last night was perfect. Our server was great, the food was great, the cocktails were great. We had a great time!

    This was the best yet. The Feast of the Seven Fishes is an Italian tradition that my family always did on Christmas Eve. I still continue that tradition today at my home with Chioppino and other fish dishes. Don and Adam's take on it was supurb. Every dish was as delicious as the last. Bravissimo Don and Adam.

    Theres’s a surprising depth of Burmese food in NYC. After having it in abundance in San Francisco I was pleasantly surprised to find a high quality Burmese restaurant in a Portland suburb on a random trip so I booked a team dinner here. The food was better the second time and I plan on coming back any time I’m in the area.
