Lunch with a friend. Our server Ashley was wonderful. Told us about the specials, answered questions about some of the dishes. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Lunch was very good, as usual. My friend had not eaten there before and was happy to have gotten to try the restaurant.

We had a very enjoyable dinner here. Started off with the lamb sausage hummus, date and spinach salad, and smoked eggplant appetizers, all which were excellent. That with the two baskets of bread they brought us was probably plenty, but we ordered the Cornish game hen meal. We brought most of that home. The service was excellent with all the wait staff helping each other out. Our waitress, Rawen (spelling) was very helpful with suggestions and had a very cheerful disposition.

This was our first experience with The Select. Food and service were excellent. Oysters, crab dip, shrimp pasta, Shiite rib, winter salad with salmon - all excellent. Drinks were good - slight hiccup with bartender - he told us that they didn’t have dark rum because Atlantans drink very little rum. 🙄 In fact, it’s a key ingredient to a Dark & Stormy. Other than that, it was a very good experience. I will say that the noise level increased significantly (coming from the bar area) as we got later into the night.

Overall an enjoyable experience. The menu selections are impressive and diverse. You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose, but you will pay a hefty price. This place definitely targets a certain clientele. The DJ played old and new favs but the volume isn’t conducive to comfortable, low-volume table conversation. The kitchen was backed up so it took over an hour to get our food, but the manager came over to apologize and gave us each complementary drinks. Beautiful decor and packed. Friendly and professional staff. I’ll definitely rerun.

Our first visit and we were more than pleasantly impressed. Our server was outstanding and knowledgeable. We owe him our thanks for such a wonderful dining experience. Traditional cocktails were great, and the warm Sherry Shrimp hors d’oeuvre was a delicious start in advance of our dry-aged, bone-in ribeye. Brussel sprouts and French onion ribs topped-off our dinner. The general service was more than attentive and I marveled at the tall, grand wine glasses that glowed at being highly polished - an appreciated touch! Thanks for a lovely experience.
