Unbelievable steak! They bring out the different varieties of steak so you can see the marbling and make your selection. The steak has a perfect crust and the smell from the charcoal grill is magnificent. Gratin potatoes with truffle are highly recommended. Deserts were nothing special. Service was great. The only negative is the background music. It was 80’s elevator music and took away from the ambiance.

This is one of the better dining experiences in Florence. Open just one year, the chef comes to your table and has you taste new dishes he is exploring… meanwhile his partner walks you through each dish and made great wine pairing recommendations. Small, cozy and all pasta is made on premise and food purchased next door at Mercado San Ambrogio…. A true ‘gem’ (Chicca)!

We were in Florence for almost a week and this was our FAVORITE dining experience! It’s family owned and operated, the food is DELICIOUS! Everyone is so friendly too. This is the authentic Italian experience you are looking for and it’s really well priced even given the proximity to the tourist traps by the Duomo.

A wonderful experience and a lovely complement to our stay in Tuscany. This style of dining brings “the best of both” - the casual, communal, and social dimension of having friends over for dinner, but with the elevated authenticity of a Tuscan food culture. The team here are friendly, warm, and the food was exquisite. We opted for the bistecca upgrade and it was superb! Don’t miss an opportunity to nab a table here.
