Specializing in aburi, or flamed-seared, sushi, the act of applying flame directly and lightly searing sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the seafood. My wife and I celebrated our 46th anniversary at this lovely restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm wishes from the front desk and all the servers. We were treated to excellent service. The food was very tasty, the ambience was “buzzing” and the pianist played non stop, adding to the mood of the room. The complimentary desert was much appreciated.

Food was great as usual. Did not expect the brussel sprout driving to be that much, but no problem with that. Oshi and Miku rolls were delicious, and so was the otoro. I think Zed was our server (according to our receipt). Tall gentleman from the island; very nice guy and great service. He offered soy sauce at the beginning of the night which was a nice touch for once because from previous experiences, it seemed that my servers seemed a little hesitant/judgy when I once asked.

The service was fantastic. Knew when to be present and when not to be. It's so rare for service to find that happy medium of not making their guest wait and not being a bother. Tonight was perfect.
