In 1998, Buddy Guindon, his wife Katie, and his brother Kenny opened Katie's Seafood Market in Galveston, Texas. For more than 20 years now, Katie's Seafood Market has provided the highest quality of products available to its customers. The majority of seafood comes from local fishermen and shrimpers, including Red Snapper, Grouper, Golden Tile Fish, Flounder, Oysters, Shrimp, and Blue Crabs. A producer contacted Guindon in the hopes of doing a reality show about his family business. In 2015, the reality show 'Big Fish Texas' came to life on National Geographic. As a supporter of the local economy, In September of 2019, Buddy opened Katie’s Seafood House, next to the market. Katie’s seafood market supplies the restaurant with all fresh seafood. Absolutely fantastic experience all around, some of the freshest food I’ve had and service from Trey was outstanding, friendly, and full of great recommendations. The quality of seafood here the highest. From the oysters to the entrees, all of it tastes like it was just caught and brought to you. The ceaser salad is top notch and creamy and delicious. Red Snapper preparation was so tasty and perfectly cooked. This restaurant has been here since the early 1900s, and they make simple and no frills food with excellence and care. We will definitely be making this a frequent dinner spot moving forward!

WONDERFUL anniversary dinner! Our table was covered in rose petals and everyone of the staff who took care of us wished us made mention of our special occasion. Our server was AMAZING and attentive. Their steaks are THE BEST! For appetizers, try the Pork Chop bites-SO GOOD! We were given a free dessert and went with the Bacon Peanut Brittle over Peanut Butter Ice Cream as suggested by our server…DELICIOUS! We are never disappointed with Perry’s!
