Restaurants near Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge

We moved to New Orleans over 6 years ago, one of the draws was the vast possibilities for dining out. Although we will probably never exhaust our list of places to try we return again and again to GW Fins. It’s been #1 on our list for years now because they consistently deliver the best dining experience on every level, first and foremost the quality of the food and service. Last night was another perfect meal from appetizer to dessert, and Marlon was delightful. Much praise and many thanks go to Gary Wollerman and Chef Michael Nelson.

Every aspect of the dining experience was superb. The food was as good as it gets, and the server could not have been better. 527 is our favorite restaurant. It’s always a great dining experience.

I had been to Brennen’s almost 50 years ago!!! My father told me to go to Brennens for breakfast and order the “Milk Punch.” And so coming again 50 years later Brennens did not disappoint . Everything about my past experience there came flushing back to me, only this time I appreciated being there even more. It was still so beautiful and the food was amazing. My husband had the Scottish egg dish and I had the Duck egg and Duck meat hash. Superb food and beautiful decor . Don’t miss the Brennens experience. Pictures to follow… we even came back the same day for happy hour cocktails.

Service was outstanding as always! The food and cocktails were also delicious! This is one of our favorite places in Slidell and we always take guests when we have friends and family in town!

Great food and fantastic proper service as we celebrated our wedding anniversary at Nuvo’s. Everything we ordered was excellently prepared and the visual appeal made us want more. Definitely an A+ experience would absolutely return for another proper lunch/dinner date.
