The First In Last Out (FILO), is a family run free-house in the Old Town of Hastings. Alongside our award winning beer, we serve quality food prepared from scratch. We had a lovely meal at The Crown on Friday. It was a really cold evening but the pub was so warm and there was such a nice vibe. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We all had the squash dish which was amazing! It was so tasty and they were good portions too. We have had several meals there before and they've all been really good. An added bonus for us is that it is dog friendly. We loved watching children with their parents playing card games and spending time together. It's such a great place to go and we would definitely worth visiting.

Absolutely outstanding Sunday lunch. Probably the best we have ever had in a pub. Great staff. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Fabulous roast lamb and the vegetarian option on this day was a mushroom pie with all the roast trimmings. You know it's a good pie when each forkful has a mushroom on it!! Great cauliflower cheese. Plenty of gravy. We will be back.
