Judith is a new American tavern pairing warm hospitality and the cooking of James Beard Nominated Chef Julia Sullivan (Henrietta Red in Nashville) located in the quiet area of Sewanee, TN near the University of the South. This was my second visit, and we sat at the bar this time. We arrived early, and it was pretty empty, but by 7:15, it was packed with happy diners! We had oysters, trout rillette, leafy greens, whole trout, and mushrooms escabeche. All DELICIOUS!!! Had the tagliatelle last time we were here, and it was also spectacular. Decor is tasteful and modern. Cocktails are interesting and yummy. We had the parenthesis cocktail. Ingredients and dishes are unique and high quality, so prices are kind of high for the area. But totally worth the splurge!

Both of our waitresses were very friendly. We got our food in a timely manner. The only thing that would be negative is hearing the waitstaff complain out loud about low tips. Maybe talk somewhere else away from customers.
