Judith is a new American tavern pairing warm hospitality and the cooking of James Beard Nominated Chef Julia Sullivan (Henrietta Red in Nashville) located in the quiet area of Sewanee, TN near the University of the South. The name is an homage to Judith Ward Lineback, the first woman to matriculate into the University in 1969.As Sullivan’s first solo project, Judith will feature a seasonal menu of creative and approachable dishes including a selection of small, shareable plates perfect for the bar crowd. We were so impressed by everything from the decor to the food. Our server was fabulous and very attentive. We could not have asked for better service. The food with some of the best that we’ve ever had. I would venture to say that that was probably the best steak I have ever eaten. We ordered the filets and wedge salads and the cheese and charcuterie and it was all wonderful. We also had alcoholic beverages that were made perfectly. This is definitely going to be added to one of our go to restaurants. I would highly recommend and will be telling people about it.
