Originally opened in 2005, Garrett Harker’s flagship restaurant has reopened its doors just up Beacon St. only three blocks from its original location. Eastern Standard continues to offer seasonally focused New England interpretations of classic brasserie fare, including raw bar and charcuterie, nostalgic favorites like steak tartare, baked rigatoni, steak frites, and butterscotch bread pudding, and some new soon-to-be-instant-classic dishes. The food was great but took so long for us to get it and they weren’t exactly busy. Had to ask our waitress several times about it and it seemed like she had forgotten to put the order in the first time.

Amazing dining experience. From the hostess upon arrival, the upbeat and knowledgeable waitstaff, to the beautiful presentation. Every little facet of this meal was a delight. We tried the tuna tartare- soooo good. The avocado in the California roll was perfectly ripe, the sushi rice was not mushy - everything was just perfection. Cannot wait to go again!!
