Restaurants near Basilique-Cathedrale Sainte-Cecile

Bar George is located in a historic building in downtown Montreal. The food, service and ambiance were impeccable. We went for brunch and were excited to taste several of the French inspired offerings that were available to us. I had a delicious French lobster omelette, potatoes and frogs legs on the side. My wife had a breakfast pastry platter with a scrambled egg on the side. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were totally satisfied with our meal which was wonderful. I highly recommend Bar George.

Best Steakhouse in the city ...as far as your money’s worth. My rib steak was well-marbled, tender, perfectly cooked and spiced. Twice bake potatoes are delicious The service is great. You will not be disappointed. Our waitress Marie was wonderful and Luca, the young man that seated us was gracious and welcoming.

Our experience at La Belle was good overall until the kitchen closed at 9 PM with absolutely no warning. Unfortunately, this meant we weren’t able to order dessert for a birthday celebration, which was disappointing. A simple heads-up from the staff would have made a big difference. Otherwise, the service and food were enjoyable.

Love so many dishes there... ravioli, rack of lamb, shrimp in white wine sauce, lasagna, cannelloni, it`s all delicious and the service is excellent!

The restaurant was consistent as always. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Sautéed scallops in Thai curry an roasted red pepper sauce was good as was the seared tuna. My leek soup was great as was the bavette as well as the Jack Daniels blackened burger.
