Love and Salt is a story that begins with Cafe Pierre, a restaurant birthed by Guy Gabriele in 1977 to bring a taste of France to Los Angeles’ South Bay. While Cafe Pierre was a beloved part of the community for nearly 37 years, in 2014, Guy and his daughter Sylvie Gabriele, now the owner of Love and Salt, closed the restaurant to bring new life to the iconic space.Love and Salt is a philosophy: that food needs only two ingredients to be great.     We ate here for Thanksgiving dinner and it was perfect. Atmosphere was festive, food was delicious and just the right amount, and of course we had the famous biscuits which were to die for. Will definitely come back and experience the fantastic service and food again.

    The Arthur J is the best restaurant in Manhattan Beach and that is saying a lot. I love the room, the service is friendly and prompt and the food is excellent. You can't miss with this one.

    My husband and I had a memorable dinner last night. Service was impeccable. My husband uses a Seeing Eye Dog and we felt welcomed. Kudos to the service staff and the chef! The food and drinks (try a Bloody Mary here) were sublime. We wish we had a restaurant of this quality near where we live! Happy Thanksgiving!

    We had the best lunch today! The service was friendly, accommodating, and prompt, even during a busy rush. We were seated right away for our reservation, and our server quickly greeted us and took our order. Drinks and food arrived timely, which was perfect for our lunch meeting, allowing us to finish within an hour. I had the yellowfin tuna salad and really enjoyed it - it was tasty and impeccably presented. The staff were very friendly and attentive from the moment we entered the restaurant to when we left. An all around 5 star experience!
