Located within Denver’s historic Tramway Building, originally opened in 1911, The Nickel pays homage to the space that was once used to collect fare from customers riding its resident streetcars: a nickel. Just as the building in which The Nickel is housed has a storied past, the dishes found on the menu at The Nickel all have a story. We proudly serve menus that incorporate the highest quality ingredients from farmers, ranchers, distillers and craft producers, and is comprised of dishes that are easily recognizable and feel simple, but eat complex.

Dined for a special evening with my partner and we were thrilled by the entire experience. Wonderful ambiance, cozy and clean. Our chef was wonderful and the food fabulous! We were impressed by the portions, by our last course we hardly had room to finish but gosh! So good. Pork belly, hamachi + the sweet potato dish were our favorites. Definitely recommend! We will be back, menu changes every other month.

Truly amazing dinner last night, Jonathan really stepped up and provided exceptional service to our group. To great suggestions to cocktails throughout our meals. Devon provided great pairing with wine and meals which helped complete another memorable evening at Guard and Grace. Great food, service and folks there and highly recommend G&G for anytime you want to go out and impress any client, family member or celebrate a great accomplishment.

We stopped in here while in Denver awaiting our flight home. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday which was unexpected so the wait even with a reservation was a bit. But the drinks and food are super yummy and different from the average menu items. The baos were so good, the chicken was my favorite. The pot stickers were super yummy as well as the pad Thai. Overall it was a great experience.

I live in Denver and brought a visiting friend to tea. It was a lovely experience - not inexpensive, but since it's not an everyday outing, that was fine. The room was beautiful, the food was very good, the tea selection was excellent and the service was outstanding. However, it IS Denver and it DOES get cold here in the winter; it was uncomfortable in the atrium and most people kept their coats and scarves on. It's too bad the Brown Palace Hotel hasn't figured out a way to combat the frigid outdoor temperatures better. Since we 'dressed up' for the occasion, it was a shame to have to keep our outerwear on the whole time. Overall, a fun experience.
