I ate at Akiko’s for the lunch omekase and it was superb. I also had the sake pairings and they were original and well matched with the meal. The meal began with 5 courses of Otsumami, which were lovely small courses and not really what you would think of as sushi. They were all very tasty but the standout was the milk bread toast with toro and caviar. Then came 7 different courses of nigiri, each of one piece. They were all fresh and delicious. My favorite was the uni. But the melt in your mouth toro was the epitome of what toro should be. Even the green tea ice cream for dessert was especially good. I wasn’t cheap but I can’t wait to come back.

Amazing as always!!! I’ve never had a bad meal there! I have so many favorites on their menu that it’s difficult to decide to go with sharing appetizers or ordering an entree. My favorite appetizers include the mixed green salad, chicken skewers, baked goat cheese, arancini and the cheese plate. For an entree, the rigatoni is my main go to and my boyfriend’s is the burger, which is one of my favorites in the city.

We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday on a Saturday night in December there and the ambiance was beautiful. The Hotel is decorated for Christmas and the restaurant as well. My boyfriend went with the flat iron steak which is unusual for him and I had the salmon. He enjoyed his meal very much and I know this because of the eye rolls he does when his food is tasty lol. My salmon was cooked to perfection with crispy edges and tender meat, the buttery flavor made an appearance here and there and it was seasoned very nicely. The salted caramel bunt cake was delicious-but stands best with the vanilla ice cream which is optional for an additional 2.00, I can understand why it’s a favorite of guests. Most of all the service was friendly and pleasant with staff checking in frequently. Price was a bit high but that’s not uncommon in for San Francisco restaurants. I would visit Seven Square Taproom again and again.
