- GGabrielaLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe food was absolutely delicious, and our server provided exceptional service throughout the evening. We were celebrating my birthday, and the ambiance added a special touch to the occasion. However, the night ended on a disappointing note due to an unprofessional encounter with one of the security staff in the upstairs bar area. When we attempted to take a group picture in an open section that was accessible to everyone and not reserved, the security guard rudely demanded that we move, despite our explanation that we were just taking a quick photo. To our frustration, minutes later, we saw another group use the same area without issue. This inconsistency left us feeling singled out and deeply disappointed, especially after spending over $1,500 on dinner alone. While the evening was otherwise enjoyable, this negative experience overshadowed what should have been a memorable celebration. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to ensure better treatment of all guests in the future.More infoPerch LAPrice: Expensive• French American• Downtown•4.6
- SStevenVIPLos Angeles •28 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe always love dinner at Kendall’s. The new menu is delightful and has some great new additions plus a few more vegetable options, which was much appreciated by some in our party. I had the duck confit, which was fork tender and had a good flavor. I did think, however, that it was a bit over salted. But not to the point of being displeasing. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and our server was so helpful and charming that she put the star on top of the experience. We will be returning soon.More infoKendall's BrasseriePrice: Expensive• French• Downtown•3.9
- BBarbaraLos Angeles •8 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoOur experience was good. The disappointment came when the menus were presented to us totally different than the menus that were online. We had selected this restaurant because of the menus and when we get there, we discovered that the restaurant is going through a transition of chefs so the menu was changing other than that Service was a little off. I think it took too long to bring the initial drink order about 10 minutes and the restaurant really wasn’t that crowded at the time when the food did arrive it was absolutely delicious. We tried some new things the roasted avocado, the shrimp/prawns. The honey butternut squash was amazing And overall, with an exception of that menu, which I think is a big thing experience was good.More infoAsteridPrice: Very Expensive• Californian• Downtown•3.8

- AAlexLos Angeles •17 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoSplendid experience all around! Our server, Alex, was lovely. Our food was presented so beautifully. My friend and I had a lovely time dining & catching up before we went to see a show across the street. It was just such a divine experience that I am planning to take others back to San Laurel. The only problem was that my mocktail was made with alcohol. I don’t drink because I’m sober so it was very concerning that such an error occurred. That’s never happened in all my years of ordering mocktails at other fine establishments. After two sips and having my friend try it, I was convinced that there was indeed tequila added to my lime-based drink so I asked the waiter about it and he quickly whisked it away and brought me a true mocktail that tasted of citrus and definitely had no alcohol in it. That was a weird experience. The evening ended on a great note with a surprise complementary flan dessert for my friend’s birthday that included a candle and song-a very nice touch. Of special note is that the chef is actually accommodating to guests’ dietary sensitivities such as the need for gluten and dairy free ingredients. Such a breath of fresh air since other fine dining spots don’t usually like to make such modifications to their menu items. It was very much appreciated by this diner. Thank you San Laurel!More infoSan LaurelPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Downtown•4.8
