Matsu follows a new light in modern Japanese cooking while paying homage to centuries-old tradition. This cozy, eclectic restaurant quickly became a destination for those who appreciated Chef Davin’s creative approach to celebrating local and responsibly sourced fish and produce. In addition to a set sushi menu, Wrench offers an omakase as well as a list of specials that change daily. The team is committed to reducing waste and enhancing flavor by elevating all cuts of fish and veggies, as well as featuring a diverse range of species. Many menu items are simple, fresh and creative, with a lesser-known fish species complimented by ingredients from the backyard garden. Byproduct utilization drives the menu as well, and recent explorations with aging techniques have led to a dry aged fish program. Plant-forward preparations are also celebrated, and a vegan omakase is available upon request.

    The service was wonderful. Everyone was very welcoming & attentive. My water was never empty. Our waiter made great recommendations for us. The gluten free pizza we ordered was delicious as was our salad. The made fresh daily tiramisu was the best I’ve ever tasted! We will definitely return.

    It was a rainy day, the bar was busy during happy hour but not loud. The specialty drinks were tasty and of different creation. From reception to table service, Erin or server... and the restaurant manager, the service was good, responsive. We had some issue with the 1st wine we selected and Erin noticed we were not drinking so she offered a change. Manager came, we settled and was happy with the new selection. Same thing happened with my Cioppino. there was hardly any seafood. I showed Erin.... Manager fixed it. :) It was a tasty bowl of Cioppino. That is the kind of service I would expect from any restaurant. Thank you Erin, Leo and evening Manager. We will be back for the service and the view.

    Did not eat food, so could not rate. But the specialty cocktails and awesome bartender/manager, made this a worthwhile, fun experience, especially for visiting out of towners. Wouldn’t want to give away anything, but there are some fun surprises throughout your stay.
