Restaurants near Maria Montreal

Bar George is located in a historic building in downtown Montreal. The food, service and ambiance were impeccable. We went for brunch and were excited to taste several of the French inspired offerings that were available to us. I had a delicious French lobster omelette, potatoes and frogs legs on the side. My wife had a breakfast pastry platter with a scrambled egg on the side. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were totally satisfied with our meal which was wonderful. I highly recommend Bar George.

The food is excellent and the service very nice and polite. Every meal was delicious. The only three issues is the parking in that area, the noise in the restaurant as they put groups in the middle, and the fact that they programmed the paying machine with tips starting at 20% or even much more, forcing us to adjust it at a normal acceptable level. I thought that this practice was about to be banned. However, we enjoy our meal.

Great server, good food. Nachos were overcooked, dry and steak slices opposed to braised beef as advertised but loaded with cheese. Hot, fresh, not noisy.

We had the most wonderful time at Le 9e! The whole staff was so kind and welcoming, (a special shout out to Daniel and the new manager for arranging a little tour of the site for us as we were very interested in the history behind the building and how the restoration came about)! It was so impressive! The food was incredible and the drinks were delicious! I can’t recommend this place enough!
