The Farehouse is located in the heart of the historic Taylors Mill’s Dock No. 3. The mill began its life as the Southern Bleachery and Piedmont Print Works during the height of the Greenville area’s reign as the Textile Capital of the World. Closing as a mill in 1965, the building found a variety of partial uses until revitalization efforts began in the mid 2000s. The braised beef short rib w/black truffle grits and greens was AMAZING! Not overpowered with truffle, just a nice flavor to raise the bar. Portion was huge. Starter of crispy Brussels sprouts w/honey, goat cheese, supurb. She crab soup can tend to be salty, but tonight was right on with a decent amount of crab. Dessert was divine of a cardamom panna cotta w/an apple filling. Very light, nice, and smooth texture similar to what I experience in Italy, but plated to raise the experience. Can’t go wrong at Soby’s! Jackie was a great server and had our meal nicely spread out and never felt rushed or wondering if next course was forgotten! Thanks for working Thanksgiving all!

We had a great experience at Rick Irwin’s in Greer. The shrimp and grits is to die for and we’ve had it multiple times. It is the best we’ve had anywhere.
