Paul Friedman is a Master Chef with over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry,having owned and operated over 50 successful restaurant concepts in South Africa, Germany, and the U.S. Paul began his career as a manager and worked his way up to franchise owner, then Director of Operations.He opened Paul's Pizza Shops - a nationally recognized pizza concept in Northwest Houston, Texas in 1994. Paul later developed a new concept, becoming the Executive Chef, CEO and partner at Peli Peli - a nationally recognized South African Fusion Restaurant which opened in 2009 in Houston, Texas.     Our server was great, I don’t remember his name but he was young. Service was also very good! We moved here from Florida and were trying to find a decent Italian restaurant near us for my fiancés birthday. Will come back again.

    We sat in a booth because we have two in our party with hearing issues and hearing aids. The booths are tall so perfect for sound control. We could hear each other well and the food and service was excellent. We eat here whenever we can.

    The food was exquisite! Our waiter was fantastic, and we got a very tasty bottle of wine for just $40! The special though was extremely expensive and the waiter didn’t inform us of that. They up-charged for everything that he described as part of the special - came to over $80! My linguine pescatore was only $35 and it was amazing. Definitely felt cheated on that special! The Bulleit Smash was a wonderful cocktail!! It was a little loud (one table in particular) and we asked one of the staff members to close the curtain between our two tables and they never did. Overall great experience but when the bill came I was unpleasantly surprised.
