- SStephenLondon •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had a terrific meal in a refined, cozy, and quiet dining room. There was a fire in the central fireplace, a view over the snow covered golf course, and the food was excellent. 2 of us shared a starter of grilled octopus, my wife had beef stroganoff, and I had prime rib, accompanied by a Nero d’Avola from Sicily. Although the room was nearly full, it was pleasantly quiet which was relaxing and made it easy to talk Our server, Michael, is outstanding! He is pleasant, attentive, and very knowledgeable about both the food and the wine list. He has taken care of us before and always makes dinner at the Lodge a great experience.More infoThe Lodge Restaurant & PubPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Truckee•4.1
- JJenVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFantastic dinner with extended family! The Granite Chief cocktail was refreshing and complex. Highly recommend the duck starter. The cut of the day was the bison rib-eye, which was delicious. If they have it, definitely opt for it. My dad had the pork chop, which he praised as better than what he recently had at a 1-star Michelin restaurant in the Bay Area. The catch of the day, sea bream, included Kauai prawn, mussels and delicious mushrooms. The grilled lemon cheesecake was amazing, while the chocolate mousse was shockingly too chocolately for the chocolate fans in my family. Overall, the tastiest meal in the Tahoe area we’ve had in a while. Definitely plan to come back!More infoSix Peaks GrillePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Olympic Valley / Squaw Valley•4.6
- LLaurenTahoe / Reno Area •6 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 14, 2024It was an okay dining experience last night. We typically love our evenings at the sawyer, but our server last night was a little spacey and honestly non-attentive… we are not used to experiencing this at the Sawyer.More infoThe Sawyer at Schaffer's Mill ClubPrice: Expensive• American• Truckee•4.5
