Food and service was excellent. When I made the reservation, I mentioned it was my daughter's birthday, then printed special menus for us that had "happy birthday" on them.

My friends and I had dinner at The Local. We were very pleased with the food and cocktails. Chad was our waiter and he was great. Very attentive. The location was great as it was in walking distance to our rental as well as walkable to the Downtown Mall area.

Consistently great. Fresh & delicious. We shared a variety of starters, rolls, sushi platter, drinks and dessert. Staff is pleasant and professional. Easily one of our faves in Charlottesville and on our overall list of favorite sushi restaurants.

The food was amazing! The steak was literally, like butter. The caesar salad was delicious, dressing had just the right amount of tang. We had the lobster Mac n cheese, smashed red potatoes and brussel sprouts. Would repeat every one of these dishes! The cherry crème brûlée was unique but not outlandish! Loved the luxardo cherries on top! Our waitress was lovely, made great recommendations and checked on us often. Will definitely be back.

We showed up (very) early for our reservation and they accommodated us. Their raw oysters were ice cold, briny, fresh, clean and already loosened from their shells…just the way they should be. Perfection.
