9e is an elegant yet relaxed restaurant, with excellent servers, very polite and respectful, and beautiful background music from several cultures and time periods. Our meals were simple yet perfectly prepared (an omelette for my friend, and beer-battered cod with greens for me). We celebrated with a glass of prosecco, and shared a wonderful dacquoise, a decadent chocolate cake with a praline outer layer, and rich cream to spoon on the top. A great treat for us both!

Joe Beef is a great restaurant and a must visit if you are in Montreal.

The food was very good. My son had the salmon and I was worried that he wouldn’t like it because it might be dry. It’s also weird for a 13 year old to order salmon right? Anyway, he loved it. I was impressed. My wife ordered the pasta of the day or something like that. It had foie gras, truffle mixed in a cream sauce with duck. Crazy good. Burger was ok. Little over done. The place is pricey but the ambiance makes up for it. The wine cellar and bar look awesome.

Stunning historical setting that is a must see for all looking for a fabulous dinner venue in Montreal. Servers lovely but service slow especially in bar waiting for drinks to be made, and in restaurant waiting on bill. The service was amazing; however, I did not like the fact that they rushed us because they overbooked. Hence, only allowing us 2h for a birthday celebration.
