- JJennifervipSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined todayWe have patronized a bunch of the known popular venues and this is the best of all the big resort competitors. (Better than Bdown’s beach house, Meridia, CanoeHouse) Local chef, a local menu that is truly farm to table, and a wonderful atmosphere. We had a kabob with shrimp, steak and ahi with a beautiful presentation. We enjoyed two salads (beet was so good, it is easily enough to share) A lovely offering of sides, including a baked seasoned pumpkin which was delightful. Totally solid for kids, steak and mash was perfect and the pineapple and strawberry sorbet was a great finish. Chef/Owner came out and greeted us. We may go again tomorrow for their “happy hour, french dip”More infoFORCPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Kamuela•4.4
- AAlexHawaii •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe really enjoyed our Saturday dinner buffet! Service from Kanoe was fantastic. She was very attentive and even considerate as she swapped out the napkins under our cups that were soaked. The food was delicious, poke tasted fresh, and food was seasoned! A lot of times I find buffet foods taste bland but everything I had that night had great seasoning. Seating was quick, everyone was friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back nMore infoWSW The Steakhouse | Breakfast, Sunday Brunch & DinnerPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Hilo•4.1

- TTimVancouver / British Columbia •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe were tired from touristing and arrived early for our reservation but they were able to seat us right away. Not on the patio sadly. I have no idea how you get a table there. Server was very good and attentive, and the food was great. We shared the spring rolls I had the ribs. Given it’s $32 for 6 and only $39 for 12, I went for the full rack so to have leftovers for tomorrow’s dinner (eating out in Hawaii is NOT cheap. We only go out ever 2-3 nights) My wife had the prawn spaghetti squash dish which also is a generous portion and had some leftovers No room for dessert. Fairly efficient, I think we were out of there in an hour.More infoTommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar - Mauna Lani, Big IslandPrice: Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Kamuela•4.8
- KKevinSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoCanoe House has been one of our favorites on the Island for several years. It is a perfect location for sunset dinners and an outstanding dining experience. Again, they did not disappoint. Highlights were perfectly done filet, swordfish and kampachi with garlic fried rice as a side. Wonderful flavors, well balanced, and perfect portions. Starters were corn ribs (a favorite ) and snap peas with goat cheese. Prices are at the higher end, but the value is spot on. We always try and eat here once during our trips to the island.More infoCanoeHousePrice: Very Expensive• Creative Japanese• Kamuela•4.7
