The Lakeside Chophouse & Wine Bar is Waterton Parks only Lakefront dining and a must when visiting Waterton Park. We are Waterton’s highest rated restaurant, we boast a large patio just a few meters from the shores of Waterton Lake. Every seat in the restaurant offers unparalleled views of Waterton Lakes and Vimy Mountain. The newly renovated chophouse offers an West Coast cuisine created by Chef Brian Long that is sure to please any pallet We look forward to being your host upon your next visit to Waterton Park . While our appetizer (baked brie) was very good, my main course was not hot . . . more like lukewarm. I ordered the cauliflower steak and is was a little disappointing, quite frankly. It lacked any kind of seasoning and was cool when I got it. Our waiter was very good - but it took forever to get drinks . . . maybe because it was the end of the season and so they maybe didn't have a full compliment of workers on? I don't know, but while our waiter was cheerful, attentive and did his best, the drinks took an awfully long time. All in all, I was a little disappointed - I have been to this restaurant before and had a much better experience - but it was in the middle of the summer, so perhaps that's why.

It was busy that evening, and they may have been short staffed, because our meals arrived cold. But they were very gracious, and promptly reordered our meals. All arrived hot, and were very tasty

Fantastic dinner. Our meals were done to perfection. The cheesecake was awesome. Our server was very attentive. The vistas of the lake are so nice, you cannot beat the location.

We were placed behind a stone column after making reservations weeks in advance unfortunately and when asked to be moved to another table available with a view we were told no sorry not avaliable but those tables stayed empty during our entire stay. The service was not great as we sat with empty drinks for some time and our waiter unfortunately wasn’t friendly at all with us. Lastly the food was just mediocre in my opinion. It was very under seasoned and lack lustre for the price. Sorry I wanted it to be a great experience given it was my husbands 40th b-day and we got all dressed up and excited for our first night in Waterton

We dined out 9-10 nights during our vacation, and Lakeside Chophouse was clearly the best experience. We loved the view (wind-swept lake, raining, rainbow) and the overall ambiance, but the highlight was the meal itself. My wife, who loves to cook, thought the Truffle Parmesan Chicken was exceptional; I enjoyed the Lobster and Prawn Linguine as well. Server was friendly and offered helpful advice on the menu. Overall 10/10.
