Terrible service. Food took forever and the staff was more interested in hanging out and chatting with one another than actually waiting on our table.

This was a disappointing meal. Too much cheese! (And I would never say that lightly.) if not for the lightly dressed greens I wouldn’t have eaten at all. The scallion compote tasted almost exactly like dishwater. Nice warm bread though. Service not terrible.

Nice bistro ambience, friendly, efficient staff, but the food is gooey, heavy French of generations past.

I went to La Voile Brookline when they opened the restaurant 10 years ago and it ‘s so different, in a good way… The place is as beautiful as the Boston one. Food was delightful, and the service was amazing. It really was a great time, thank you very much and see you next time!

The dishes for Dine Out Boston were interesting and very well prepared. I especially liked eating things I would never take the time to cook at home.

Got off to a bad start when they didn’t have the first 3 bottles of wine I tried to order from the wine list. Then they didn’t have what I had understood to be the restaurant’s signature dish: sole meunière. This on a Saturday evening, and three of our party of six had chosen this dish. Before our main dishes were served another diner had a medical emergency, which of course disrupted service in the entire restaurant and was entirely beyond anything the restaurant could control. However, once the afflicted diner had received the care they required and service resumed, some of the dishes that we were served were inedible and the others were merely barely edible. Management attempted to compensate for the disruption by offering every diner a glass of sparkling wine. No other compensation for the substandard fare was offered. Even though the poor quality of the food could all be chalked up to the disruption and upset caused by the unforeseeable medical emergency, I won’t be risking my dining time and dollars at la Voile again.
