   We had lunch at La Taverne with our one-year-old who has several food allergies. Our server, Emily, went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of the whole time. She brought special bread for him and even surprised him with a dessert after our lunch. He was so happy he could fully participate in the meal and had so many treats! Beyond her special care of our son, she was attentive throughout the whole meal, friendly, and so kind. And, the food was delicious! We will for sure be back!

   This is our third time eating at La Taverne. First 2 times just fabulous. This time was a huge disappointment.

   We have been to La Taverne many times and always had wonderful service but this time was the absolute worst! We had reservations but were treated like we were a bother. We kindly asked to move tables at first cause they sat us at this teeny tiny table and was not comfortable to sit in, the lady looked upset I was asking to move. Our waiter was nice but gave us horrible service, it took almost 2 hours to finish our entire meal. Everything from bread to dessert took forever and they never checked in on us. The table next to us got sat down, served and finished before our meal was out and we didn’t have any crazy meal as it was just my husband and I. We ordered the mushroom bolognese which was delicious but waiting that long. The mangers would look at us and walk right by and they even saw how long we had been there, we looked totally bored by the end of the meal and could not leave fast enough. Our waiter took forever to bring us our check but made sure to pick up the money as fast as he could, that was the fastest part of the night. I am so disappointed in the service we received that my husband and I aren’t sure if we will dine here again. We loved La Taverne in the past but this time was so different and not the amazing service we always receive.

   You can never go wrong at the magnificent Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. We had lunch at La Taverne and the service, food and atmosphere were all excellent. I believe the adult beverages are a little pricey, but the price of the meal does not seem to be inflated. It was perfectly prepared and the water glasses were never allowed to run low. The hotel itself was decorated for Christmas and is always magical from the greenery to the lights to the giant, completely made from confection gingerbread structure. It is a tradition now, always different, this year a golf cart in honor of the upcoming Senior Open hosted by The Broadmoor Golf Club in 2025. I love that we are able to make dining reservations on Open Table. It is difficult to get into the Broadmoor at times so a reservation is essential, especially during the holidays. Valet parking is free, (but they always are sincerely grateful for a gratuity). We recommend La Taverne 100%!

   We enjoyed our annual Christmas lunch at La Taverne. The food was excellent (thank you for putting the chicken salad back on the menu - my favorite!). Tyler was our server and she and the rest of the team took great care of us. It was such an enjoyable lunch! Thank you!

   The front hostess staff was amazing. They were nice and attentive. Our server wasn’t the nicest or personable. The food was just ok. Kind of bland for what we paid for.

   The service and atmosphere were top notch but the food, particularly the brisket dinner special, left a lot to be desired. There was more fat than meat and it was quite tough which is not what we would have expected for a special dinner outing. Perhaps other menu items are better but we’d advise against the holiday brisket special.

    Went there for lunch. We have eaten at other restaurants in the Broadmoor and have been very impressed. This was not a good experience. Service was very slow. It took us almost 1 hour and 45 minutes to have lunch. The value is terrible. My daughter got the kids cheeseburger and fries for $14. My cheeseburger and fries was $27 for the exact same portion size! Crab bisque had little to no crab. My wife’s ceaser salad for $17 looked like a side salad. The vegetable bolognese she had was not very good at all and looked like it had been reheated. The burger I had for double the cost of the same size kids burger was overcooked. I ordered medium rare and got closer to medium well. Drinks were grossly over priced as well. Common theme when you have two kids meals and two adult meals the tab should not be $240.00!! We will not be going back.
