   The value of Kona is their happy hour but with Valentines Day they were not offering. I partially understand this and should have left but we decided to have dinner. A 6 OZ filet (at best, came out at 4 OZ) for $47 and terrible quality. The same for my sons 12OZ New York (terrible quality and under weight). My wife had a sushi roll for $24; a better role at Blue Wasabi is $16. There are too many great restaurants in Gilbert, we will never return to Kona.

   Good restaurant. Only problem I had was the miso soup I ordered was lukewarm.

   The server was not very good. Nice person but you could tell based on attentiveness and her timing and the host of other things a server does, that this was just a job for her. Main issue I had was that the restaurant was very dirty. From the floor to the railings, table. There was actually trash under our table and food and a butter knife on the floor at our table When they sat us. Not a great look. We will go again just to make sure it wasn’t a bad week for the manager and restaurant. If they haven’t cleaned the place, I will talk to the manager

   The food was really salty and what it used to be … small portions and the red wine is room temperature or warmer…. Definitely needs to be 55 degrees

   Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was not good quality. We had the prime rib. The prime rib was overcooked, lacked flavor and full of fat. We also had some sushi rolls which were below average. The local Fry's food has better sushi. The drinks were fine. I would not return to this restaurant.

   I didn’t enjoy the restaurant. It was way too loud for me. I knew it would be lively, but it was absolutely loud and it was my anniversary. I should’ve picked a better restaurant.

   Did the Taste of Kona meal. Got the order wrong and we received the wrong meat. When I got my plate with baked potatoes and some of the potatoes were clearly burned and hard. The sushi rolls are way overpriced but no prices are mentioned in the menu. Waiter kept giving us the next dish before we asked for it or even finished the current one. Place was empty so don't know why rush us lie that. We got some discount at the end so kinda made up for some of it.

   Service was slow and the restaurant was not that busy. Food was ok, but not up to the usual standard. Party of 10 and half the food came out cold. Dessert even took a long time.

    The food was horrible and way over priced for quality and portions. Had to send back my prime rib. Couldn’t get it medium rare either. Apparently, They cook in the morning, then cook it again before it’s served. So she said it would be medium. Weird, but I trusted it especially paying so much. Ewww! It was gray and disgusting. Spent $176 before a $40 tip. There were two of us dining. Two appetizers and two meals and one slice of cheesecake that looked like the a grocery store one and small. Should have went to Grimaldi’s for the cheesecake! Server made it seem like sushi was large saying it’s six pieces. The skinniest and nastiest Las Vegas roll I’ve ever had. Server was great but we will never be back again. I’ve never felt so bad leaving and wasting so much money. I don’t know how they’re still open.
