Located within the Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort, Chef Micah Windham and his culinary team have created seasonal gourmet menus with the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. Meals are are served family style and al a carte in Kingfisher's lodge-style setting which features exposed wood beams, river rock, a roaring massive stone fireplace and sweeping views of Icicle Canyon. In the summer months, the terrace is available for outdoor dining. An extensive wine list highlights local favorites and compliments the menu. Welcoming you to Kingfisher Restaurant is a one of kind outdoor glass art installation created for Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort by Dale Chihuly, called The Icicles.

    We were disappointed in the limited menu selections. Two in our party had the salmon and said it was good, one had the steak and said it was good as well, but three us had the pasta and it was fair, at best. The gnocchi type pasta looked like stewed tomatoes were thrown over the top, not appetizing nor did it taste good. The service was slow and we barely made it to the show at Snowy Owl.

    The ambience was amazing! The food was delicious and the flexibility of the menu and the family style serving allowed us to try different things and to not waste any food. Top-notch all around!

    I must admit stumbling into this gorgeous restaurant on the grounds of the Sleeping Lady Resort right next to their absolutely beautiful custom commissioned and rare outdoor Chihuly was pure joy. The wonderful and friendly staff was in a slow but solid transition after feeding over 400 people on the Thanksgiving holiday and having been mostly closed on and off since covid. My husband and I loved our hand made cocktails before dinner made by the very talented and charismatic Chava and we decided to stay with him to enjoy our dinner and its samplings . We started with an amazingly fresh Autumn Salad and some fantastic Salmon chowder. We loved both. We also had their bruschetta of the day and even though it had some fresh ingredients we were not a fan of the bread they chose for their base. Next we moved to some excellently prepared and simple potlatch rubbed salmon served with a side of blackened and very fresh green beans . Plenty to share. Lastly , we were delighted and surprised to end the evening with some of the finest crème brulee’ we’ve ever had. We will look forward to returning to Leavenworth and including this beautiful gem in our plans.

    From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations!!! If you’re a foodie like us, you’ll love this place! The menu has a fantastic selection of dishes, and we loved everything we tried. Our waitress was top notch and the service was exceptional. I can’t wait to come back again!”

    With a party of 9 we ordered almost everything on the menu. We loved the food and our selection of wine as recommended by our server. We are pleased that King Fisher reopened after years of closure from Covid.

    They had left the vent closed on the fireplace so it was an ice box in there and smelled like a camp fire. To their credit they did ask if we wanted to keep our reservation and we said yes, so I’m actually giving them a break there and not holding it against them. However instead of trying to ensure the rest of our experience was great the service was incredibly slow, half the food was cold, and one of our pizzas arrived after everyone else had finished dinner, only to be raw in the middle. They did take that off our check once we let them know it was raw, but overall just a really disappointing experience for a place that charges $24 for a pepperoni “pizza” which was more like a flat bread, the same for a cheese pizza for a 3-year old, didn’t smash the patties on the smash burger, and calls baked potato wedges jojo’s. Mediocre food at a high price and very slow and inattentive service. I was told the wings were really good.

    At first, the staff were trying to clear a smoky dining room which was unfortunate. The waitstaff was clearly overwhelmed and took a while to even get us some plates. Some of the food came out raw (I.e. pizza crust) and we had to send it back. Overall, an unfortunate experience. We won’t be returning.

    We waited fir nearly 2 hours for drinks and dinner. We got water and some stale bread. Fornthe price we were hopeful for a good meal and experience. Neither of which was provided. We ended up canceling our food and remaining beverages and leaving.

    Apparently the restaurant just reopen after a couple of years being closed, it was caos from getting our table all the way to getting our bill. Food was ok, however it rooms about 20 minutes just to get water on the table and about 80 minutes to get our meal from the time we order. Since being recently reopen I want to believe they will get better with time, plus the restaurant was completely packed.

    We went on Thanksgiving. The turkey, dressing, and mashed potatoes were dry. We had to share a table with other diners even though we had reservations. Service was slow, but expected seeing how busy they were.
