   We recently visited Kincaid’s in Bloomington, and while the ambiance and initial service showed promise, our overall experience left us disappointed. The restaurant itself is bright, clean, and inviting. We were greeted promptly and kindly by the front staff, which set a positive tone. Our drinks and food orders were taken quickly, which we appreciated. However, service inconsistencies began to emerge as the meal went on. While we noticed other tables receiving a bread basket early in their dining experience, ours didn’t arrive until we were well into our meal. It felt like a small oversight but stood out nonetheless. My husband ordered his steak cooked “medium plus”—a preference that falls between medium and well-done, leaning more toward medium. Unfortunately, it arrived clearly overcooked, more well-done than he asked for. He chose not to send it back because the flavor was still enjoyable, but the error was noticeable. Later, when we ordered a second round of drinks, our server forgot and had to be reminded—a minor misstep, but again, part of a pattern of service that didn’t quite meet expectations. In the end, while there were a few positives, the overall experience just didn’t leave us wanting to return. With so many other great dining options in the area, Kincaid’s won’t be at the top of our list next time.

   Food was awesome service by LJ is amazing she goes above and beyond for us and Mohamed always has time to chat and make sure we are loving our meals we feel like LJ and Mohamed are family. Now just waiting for halibut to return to the menu

   This was my second birthday dinner here, and I plan to come back every year (and more!) I'd been having kind of a rough day, and the comforting food, relaxed and quiet surroundings, and especially the attentiveness, expertise, and kindness of our server Kat made everything better. I had the asiago crusted walleye and a cup of the lobster bisque. Both were top notch. My party also ordered the crab/lobster dip as an appetizer, and it was outstanding. Easy free parking and a really classy 1980s vibe help to complete the experience. It's a touch pricey, but that's totally fine for special occasions. I look forward to coming back!

    I miss the old preparation and presentation of their bread. This current version seems as though it's been sitting around and not fresh and new. The pea salad was perfect. I had the Asiago cheese crusted Walleye. Perfect. Generous serving. The green beans were tough to eat. (Both my partner and I thought the same of the beans.) Overall, we had a near perfect evening of dining. Our waitress "Cat", is excellent. And she always is.
