With Broadway's staggered start times, things get tricky, so if you're desired time is unavailable online, please give us a call, as we hold a certain number of tables for phone reservations only. For parties of six or more, please call the restaurant directly.

Since 1965, Joe Allen has been a quintessential New York restaurant serving a classic American menu in the heart of the Theater District. Just two blocks from Times Square, it has been a favorite of Broadway performers, locals, and tourists for almost 50 years.

We begin taking reservations seven days in advance starting at midnight online and at 11 a.m. over the phone.

Because of staggered theatre times we can only guarantee reservations made online for one-and-a-half hours for parties of two, and two hours for parties of three or more.

    Had a wonderful experience and the food was great! The service from the greeting to table side was attentive but in no way bothersome. Our group enjoyed the Baby Liver, steak frites, Allen’s burger and the roasted Pork Chop. All great and that Banana Cream Pie was amazing!!

    Rolled in to NYC with a tight window to make our reservation- per contacting Joe Allen, they assured we'd be able to be seated. Excellent reception and prompt seating (we did have an early reservation, but others arriving after us got the same prompt treatment). Waiter was excellent and saw to drinks and food in an expeditious manner. Yankee pot pie and Joe Allen burger were both excellent. Ambience was just as expected, and we were not hurried along in any way. We'll be back!

    Server was outstanding!!!! I don’t recall his name. It may have been Kevin. But he he was so accommodating, so funny and so very nice. He made the entire meal a fun time.

    Service was exceptional. We went with 2 kids so didn’t get to enjoy the fun bar atmosphere but overall strongly recommend (even with kids). Steak Frites was delicious
