Jean Claude 2 closed permanently the day before my reservation. How is it that Open Table still let me make a reservation, and why do you think I ate there? Instead, they directed me to the newly opened Jean Claude on 1st Avenue, which was wonderful.

What a delightful restaurant and meal! My friend and I both loved the roasted cod and the pork loin; ditto for the tart tatin & chocolate mousse. And generous portions! Neither of us were able to finish our entrees & I couldn't finish the tarte tatin - it must have been a full quarter of the tarte. I'd go back again in a heartbeat!

The menu is limited but that allows them to focus on each dish. The service was very good, and the seating was comfortable, no crowding. We’ll go back to see if it is consistently good.
