   Gerry was amazing! This weeks special Chinese 5 spice ribs and steak wedge cooked perfectly. Amazing cocktails and after dinner drinks.

   food was great, service was great. We were in the new front dining room that use to be retail space. It felt very separate from the rest of the fun, somewhat isolated and we missed the usual atmosphere and vibe. Would suggest opening the that enclosed room up to the courtyard.

   Our first time in Palm Springs and we were impressed with Jake's which was easily found searching the internet & the ad describing the ambience convinced us to give it a try. The food was delicious and generous from the entree to the dessert. The wait staff was friendly & efficient. It was a beautiful Spring evening & a memorable experience!

   I am sooooo disappointed! I have dined at Jakes for many years! Had not eaten there for a long time, so returned a month ago and it was just fine.. Then, today! With 2 friends.... The music was so loud, that we could not hear each other. Noticed that the table next to us, also was yelling over each other! Asked them to turn it down, they did but it still was dominating everyone's conversation.. Now for the food! I ordered the Ahi tuna salad and asked the waiter to tell the chef that I "to go easy" on the lettuce. Well, the salad was full, over the top with the lettuce and 2 pieces of the tuna were frozen, yes, frozen.. So I had a salad full of frozen tuna & a lot of lettuce for $29.00! I am so sorry, will not return. Oh, waiter said the chef like to "go heavy on the greens". Enough said!

   We had brunch for the second time in a week. The biscuits and gravy were awesome. Everyone in our grouped loved their food. Beto took great care of us as usual.

   We had been going to Jake’s for years. It was always a beautiful quaint place full of charm. The service USED to be excellent. Since the renovation and the expansion they have become too busy and the service was bad. We had to ask for menus, waited 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive and then had to ask the waitress if she could please take our order. The rack of lamb was tasty but the presentation horrible. I had requested outdoor seating at the bar area when I booked but got a table indoors in the new section.

We watch reservation starting two weeks out and try to accommodate all seating request, however as stated in OpenTable a seating a request is not guaranteed and is based on availability.    One of the best places to sip, eat and have a great night with your friends or a romantic date on the courtyard. The drinks are phenomenal and their signature dishes are wonderfully wicked! And their cakes are even more sinful. Owners, Scot and Ron, make you feel like family. And if you’re lucky, you might even get to meet their new puppy, Jake. Trust me. He looks like a little stuffed animal from Neimans. Go Jake! In short, Jake’s is an absolute must* *reservations are highly encouraged.

    Not a good place to go if you are celebrating a special occasion- they really don’t care. Also just trying to turn the tables to get the next group in.
