   Took a friend here for her birthday and to share Jake’s wonderful hula pie dessert. Great service and oceanside waves, always special, never disappoints!

   Beautiful sunset, very efficient service, very professional team! Food was good.. ie: polenta room temp n bland, lobster ok. Apps.. ribs n calamari 5 stars!! Waiter 5 is stars!!!

   A long-time favorite where we dine every time we are in the area. Incomparable view; attentive, friendly service from Chase; excellent drinks, wine and food (salmon and short rib). Looking forward to our next visit to San Diego when we can return to Jake’s.

   Service was excellent (Dean, our server, rocked). Gotta try the calamari strips. I had the corvina sea bass, which was excellent. My wife had the swordfish special, and it was quite possibly the best swordfish preparation I’ve ever had. I’ve never enjoyed swordfish that was as juicy as this was. Quite simply, perfection!

   Jake's is one of our favorite Seafood restaurants. The food is delicious with beautiful presentation. The service is excellent. Dean was our server and he was awesome. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars across the board was the Vegan option. My daughter is vegan and was pleased there was an option for her on the menu (only 1). It was not very tasty and the value for a plate of mushrooms with beet puree wasn't great. When we go back, she will probably "veganize" a couple of the appetizers as her meal. Overall though, us non-vegans LOVED our meals.

   Jake’s is so perfect for a special night! The food was great!! Started w a very generous and tasty crab cake (we shared and it was ample!) followed by a crisp and delish Ceasar salad and hubby had the chowder (it was “okay”) and then our entrees…soooo good…I had the halibut and it was flaky and fab…hubby had the crusted ahi which he thoroughly enjoyed! Our mai tai and old fashioned cocktails were awesome as well! Our server, Mike, was attentive and helpful! We were also delighted to have a card waiting for us at the table to wish us a Happy Anniversary and they treated us to Hula pie! 😋🤩👏🏻 Well done, Jake’s Team!!

   Great ocean views. Have been here many times and usually have a great experience but they missed the mark on our most recent visit. Our server was not the best - forgot my husbands drink, had to ask twice for bread, never brought the salt and pepper we asked for and when I told him my steak was undercooked and I couldn’t eat it, he didn’t offer to fix it or take it off our bill. The rest of our party enjoyed their food and past experiences have been good so hopefully this was a one off and not the typical experience.
