You have reserved a true traditional Japanese experience floor seating (with no well under the table for legs). Remove your shoes, and take a step onto our tatami room. A garden window view completes this unique dining experience. This is a unique experience, but it can be challenging for those with limited flexibility. Please let us know in advance if you need to change these reservations, as we will not be able to offer other options upon arrival. Children under 10 are not recommended.

We had a great time for our first time at Izanami. We had a trainee server named Aiverson and he was very professional and answered all our questions. We will definitely be going back soon!

I guess we were hoping for a better culinary experience based on reviews and our previous experience with similar style restaurants like Nobu and Matsuhisa. Staff and service were excellent but the food was just okay. The miso bass was very tender and flaky but didn’t have much, if any, miso flavor other than a small amount of glaze. The spicy cucumber and avocado salad was bland and definitely not spicy. The fried chicken was well seasoned but overcooked and chewy, and the spicy mayo had zero flavor nor spice. We quit and left before ordering another portion of disappointment.

Perfect meal. Food was delicious, beautifully plated, pleasant to the eye, presented with excellent service in a peaceful and esthetic environment. Love, love, love!

we were a party of 6 and the tip was included. We felt a little abandoned by our server after food was delivered. There was the back up guy who picked up service after that. Aside from that small slight, the food is outstanding. The restaurant atmosphere and setting adds to the experience.

This restaurant is a pleasure, and a memorable experience. We had wagu beef burgers, sesame noodles, and beet croquettes that were delicious. The atmosphere is rustic and open, unlike any other restaurant in Santa Fe. Be sure to visit. The drive up Hyde Park Road is also worth the views.
