If you’re looking for a big fancy restaurant this is not it. If you want a locals joint, with amazing food, great prices and close to Nob Hill/Embarcadero, this is your spot. Everything was great and the service was friendly and very good. Will be back many many times!

Es ist ein recht gutes Restaurant. Zwar etwas abseits vom Trubel, aber (!) dafür an der Cable Car Linie gelegen. Fisch in Folie war sehr gut, die Cioppino ebenfalls recht gut. In Verbindung mit dem recht guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis empfehlen wir das Restaurant.

We read mixed reviews and decided to try anyway. Everything we ordered was overcooked. The first scallops came out smelling burned and were hard little rocks. The second order that replaced it was also overdone and rubbery. We ordered 2 types of fish and both were overcooked. Sad because the sauces were good and the sides were good. We told our server to let the kitchen know everything was coming out overcooked and she said "Sometimes it's not cooked enough". And we said at least it could be cooked a little more. Overcooking can't be fixed. We didn't ask for anything or get offered anything. Just trying to let the kitchen know so others wouldn't be disappointed. But we would not be back because it was over $200 and we just would not take that chance again. :-(

My wife and I had dinner last night at Hyde Street Seafood and was amazed that we had not yet been to this gem of a restaurant even though we live in nearby PacHeights. It has a large selection of menu items including daily specials, the food was excellent and its one of the best value, high quality restaurants in the Russian Hill, Union Street, Polk Street or Fillmore Street areas. Can't wait to go back.

Nice quaint place to eat good seafood. Easy to reach via Uber or Cable Car. Suggest making reservations on weekends.

Really excellent neighborhood gem, wonderful food and lovely host .. they were quiet for a Saturday night so I’d definitely recommend people to reserve and table and go and enjoy !
