                  Our server Duane was so attentive to our needs. I love the ample selection of food and the food was great. I wish the eggs benedict was smaller because one piece is already filling; no more space for other selections. I recommend this place for special occasions because it’s pricey.

                  I requested window seat with view for my husband’s birthday. I understand it’s just request, not confirmation. But it wasn’t busy and our table is next to the wall with counter table that waiters place used plates. We wish they could consider better table.

                  I've heard many great things about Hoku's, and it was our first time here. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was beautiful. We were greeted right away by the hostess, who was most pleasant, and our server was Duane, and he was very attentive to our needs. We will definitely be back.                   Experience was mixed. Service was excellent and the ambiance was great. The main issue was the food. It just wasn’t as special as it should have been. One dish in particular, the Blanquette de veau was as completely wrong. The dish is a very famous French veal stew. Veal shoulder is poached in white wine and served with a white sauce with vegetables and usually rice. What we had was a roasted veal tenderloin and some vegetables with mashed potatoes. Not a stew and nothing slike what was advertised. We were disappointed and the chef should be ashamed of himself. Other courses were better. We also thought the wine pairing was not great. Pretty average and not very interesting wines.
