Directly opposite Cologne Cathedral, the Hanse Stube offers innovative French cuisine with regional influences. The gourmet restaurant has been awarded several prizes for its excellent cuisine and first-class service. Chef Joschua Tepner prepares unique taste experiences. His menu pays homage to both tradition and innovation. The Hanse Stube team provides excellent service and pampers its guests; head waiter Franz-Georg van Hall personally carves at the guests’ table and sommelier Robert Demers finds a wine to pair with any style of food. The interior of the Hanse Stube is characterized by timeless elegance with cozy sofa corners, filigree wooden chairs and various contemporary and historical paintings on the wood-paneled walls. The two side rooms, "Mirror Salon" and "Fish Salon", can be booked exclusively for small banquets.

    Das Essen war sehr lecker, auch das Ambiente ist wirklich schön. Der Service passt aber leider nicht zum erwartbaren Standard in so einem Haus. Wir saßen mehrfach 10 Minuten vor unseren leeren Weingläsern, weil nicht nachgeschenkt wurde. Das Champagnerglas wurde erst nach Aufforderung über den Eichstrich gefüllt (das habe ich vorher wirklich noch nie erlebt) und unser Wasser wurde auch einem anderen Tisch ausgeschenkt. Zusammengefasst: der Service läuft sehr chaotisch und dadurch unkoordiniert. Die Weinpreise sind mit x4 im vergleich zum Einkaufspreis auch deutlich überzogen. Genau so, wie für eine 0,75l Wasserflasche knapp 12 Euro (!!!) zu verlangen.

    Absolutely superb service and delicious food. The service is impeccable. Before you begin a lovely selection of flavoured fresh butters and delicious bread is brought to you. Then another selection of amuse bouche. All delightful. Our filet mignon was great. Nice mash. At the end of our dinner a tray of gorgeous chocolates was brought for us to choose a few of. Unobtrusive but perfect service. The rooms are beautiful with large paintings and very comfortable seating. It’s quiet. ( hurrah!) Would highly recommend!

    Alles war wunderbar ! Toller service. Sie liessen uns viel zeit die einzelnen gaenge zu geniessen und hatten ein grossartiges gespuer, wieviel zeit wir brauchen, um uns sehr wohl zu fuehlen.
