   I really hoped to be able to write a very positive review! We have stayed at the Glasbern a few times and it is a beautiful place. Breakfast at the restaurant has always been excellent. The restaurant is lovely and the staff always friendly, but tonight something was off. We were a party of 4 and ordered the Charcuterie board, 3 onion soups, shrimp cocktail and we split a salad, all very good and enjoyable. Next we ordered a Burger, 2 sea bass entrees and a lobster risotto. First, one of the sea bass entrees came out as a salmon dish. The waitress admitted it was her error and offered to correct it. My wife didn’t want to wait, so she decided to just share the other sea bass dish with our daughter in law. The sea bass was good, but the risotto was undercooked (somewhat crunchy) and lacked seasoning. I had the lobster risotto which had a decent amount of lobster, but it also lacked seasoning and the risotto was also undercooked and under seasoned with a somewhat odd flavor in some bites. To finish, we ordered 2 affogatos. While eating mine, I thought I found some bits of paper, but wasn’t sure. Then as I was finishing it, I found a large piece (at least 1 1/2” long) of parchment type paper. We told the waitress and she apologized, stating she would speak to the chef. As she was taking the check and saying good night, she told us that the chef told her as she was scooping the ice cream, she had torn some of the paper that was surrounding the ice cream. She said she thought would would want to know. Let me be fair, she was a very friendly and good server, and no, I didn’t say anything about my meal, (although she should have noted that half of it was left and I didn’t want to take it home) and I didn’t say anything about either of the undercooked risottos, and we didn’t make a big deal about the wrong dish being brought out - but for $9 each, I think they could have at least taken one of the affogatos off of the check. Sadly, I won’t be back for dinn

   Food was excellent. We were looking for a quiet meal and we got it. Eclectic old barn atmosphere with upscale amenities, food, and service.

   I have never had a negative experience at the Glasbern Inn restaurant. Food is always delicious. staff is attentive and fun, and the ambiance and atmosphere keep me coming back time and time again.

   The food was absolutely fantastic and the portion sizes are excellent for the price. I had a soup and an appetizer and was full before I could finish everything. The French onion soup was one of the best I’ve ever had! I also got the shrimp appetizer which was in a tomato scream sauce. It was fantastic. My partner had the short ribs which I tried. I’m not a red meat eater typically but these were AMAZING. They were so tender that you didn’t even need a knife. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding which was absolutely delicious. We will absolutely be coming back again

   It is hard to find a restaurant that has so many gluten free options. A family member of mine has celiac disease and most restaurnts have 1 or 2 options for GF. This place has so many options. When went here specifically bc of the menu options for my family member. It was her birthday and they even had a chocolate cake and ice cream. The service was phenomenal as well. Our waitress was funny and kept us laughing all night. She even got our GF person some GF rolls. Several of us had the french onion soup and we all said it was the BEST. Plus, it was big enough to be a meal itself. We all enjoyed the entrees. I had the seafood and pasta and had to take 1/2 home bc it was too much. Yes, it is pricey but you cannot bet the quality of food and the ambiance. I would definitely go back for a special ocasion. I would maybe even like to stay on site. Its just so beautiful.

   We wanted to treat our son and his new wife to a delightful dinner and knew the best place to go was the Glasbern. The dining area is charming/rustic, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and the food is wonderful! We enjoyed the meal, the environment, and the personnel. A+ all around:)

    Great spot for a night out and quiet getaway! We staid in the inn and came for dinner. Breakfast the next was also delicious.
