    We have dined at Gertude’s previously, but this time the food quality was different. The service however, was very good and super friendly. The cocktails were good, but seemed quite watered down. Appetizers were excellent …fritters and the cauliflower dish were very tasty. No one was overly pleased with our main courses. The sides accompanying the scallop entree were not very good. However the sides accompanying the salmon entree were indeed tasty….a mango risotto and kale. But the salmon itself did not taste fresh and was very dry and overcooked. The lamb enchiladas were just OK and nothing we would ever order again. The ambiance at Gertrudes is absolutely wonderful particularly during this holiday season.

    Delightful choices, perfect for late afternoon/early dinner dining in a beautiful garden setting. Seasonal vegetables and meats put together in fresh creative ways. Hummus appetizer with homemade blue corn chips a must. Also the desert fruit tamale with guava sorbet and coconut a surprisingly delicious ending.

    Wonderful experience as always!!!! The holiday cocktails were fantastic and the food excellent. Our favorite holiday event to attend. The luminaries and dinner at the desert botanical gardens a perfect way to celebrate Christmas!!!!
